TradeSoft for Android is now on the Play Store
The closed Android test is over. TradeSoft is now on the public Google Play Store, so anyone on Android can download it without an invite.
As of 31 August 2026, TradeSoft is on the public Google Play Store. No opt-in form, no invite, no waiting for a batch. Search for TradeSoft on Play, or go straight to the listing, and install it like any other app.
We never wrote this one up on its own, so here it is properly: Android is out of testing and open to everyone.
Why there was a test at all
Google requires new personal developer accounts to run a closed test with a minimum number of real testers, for a minimum stretch of time, before an app can even be submitted for public release. Apple has no equivalent, which is why iOS was on the App Store from launch day in July and Android was not.
That was awkward, because roughly
60% of the people here are on Android. So from
launch we ran an opt-in page: you gave us a Google account email,
we uploaded the list, Google emailed you an invite, and you
installed from that. It worked, and it was clunky, and it is now
finished. The old
/nz/android-testing/ page redirects straight to the
Play Store listing.
If you were already a tester
You do not need to do anything. It is the same app and the same account, and updates keep arriving through Google Play as normal. Nothing on your phone needs reinstalling, and nothing about your listings, messages or feedback changes.
If you ever do want to reinstall, that is safe too. Your account lives on your TradeSoft login, not on the handset, so signing back in brings everything with it.
The same app, not a cut-down one
The Android build is the same app as the iOS one: the same features, the same account, and the same releases at the same time. Buying, selling, offers, messages, clubs, events, discussions, ranks and leaderboards, wishlists, the lot. The most recent release, 1.3.0, went to both.
There is also the web app, which works on a phone browser and is where club and business dashboards live. Same account, whichever way you sign in.

If you had an AirsoftTrader account, your trading history and feedback came across in July, so claim it rather than starting from scratch. Otherwise, creating your account takes about a minute, and the launch post is the long version of what the app does.
