// COMMUNITY TRUST

Club Management. Trust you can vouch for.

New Zealand has a strong network of registered airsoft clubs. TradeSoft Club Management lets those clubs vouch for their members, so the whole community can trade with more confidence, and scammers have far fewer places to hide.

What Club Management is

Airsoft in New Zealand runs on its clubs, groups like Tauranga Airsoft Club and dozens of others organising skirmishes, milsim events and their local scene up and down the country. These clubs already know their members. Club Management brings that real-world trust onto TradeSoft.

To combat scammers and raise trust across the marketplace, we give clubs the ability to manage their members on TradeSoft. TradeSoft creates the club in our system and invites a club manager, usually the president or someone they appoint. From there, the club can vouch for the members they know. When a member is vouched for, a Club Verified badge appears on their profile and listings.

Not in a club? You're still welcome. We know plenty of genuine traders aren't affiliated with any club, and that's completely fine. Club verification is an extra trust signal, never a requirement, and it's not meant to diminish unaffiliated members. It simply lifts overall trust in the system.

How it works

The flow is deliberately simple, and it keeps identity checks where they belong, with the club that actually knows the member.

  1. TradeSoft sets the club up

We create the club in our system and invite the club manager, usually the president or someone they assign. Before that, we run our own checks on the club and the people running it.

  2. The club manager logs in securely

The club's login requires MFA / 2FA to be enabled, keeping the account, and the members it vouches for, protected.

  3. The club invites its members

The manager only needs the email address a member signed up with on TradeSoft. Because clubs do their own KYC on their members, ID verification sits with the club, not TradeSoft.

  4. The member accepts in the app

The invited member sees the invitation in their dashboard in the TradeSoft mobile app, and can accept or decline it.

  5. The Club Verified badge goes live

Once accepted, the member's profile and listings show a Club Verified badge and the club's name, linked to the club's website or Facebook page as the primary point of contact.

Inside the club dashboard

Club managers get a simple, secure web dashboard to run their membership from. Invite members by email, see who's accepted, and suspend or remove verification at any time, all from one place.

What buyers see

A Club Verified badge tells other traders that a real, organised club is willing to vouch for this member. It shows on their public profile and on every listing they post, next to the name of the club, so buyers can see exactly who stands behind them.

The club name links straight to the club's website or Facebook page. If something ever goes wrong with a trade, that gives the community a genuine path of outreach, a real group you can contact, rather than an anonymous account.

Staying in control

Verification isn't set in stone, and it works both ways. A member can belong to several clubs at once, and either side can end an association whenever they need to.

  • Clubs can suspend or remove a member at any time. If someone leaves a club, or the club no longer wants to vouch for them, they can remove the association and the badge goes with it.
  • Members can remove themselves. You're always free to leave a club on TradeSoft yourself.
  • Multiple clubs, one profile. If you play with more than one group, each club that vouches for you can appear on your profile.
Do your due diligence. While TradeSoft does its best to verify a club's legitimacy before adding it to the system, club verification is a trust signal, not a guarantee. TradeSoft takes no responsibility for loss or bad trades. It's every user's responsibility to do their own due diligence before sending money or paying for anything. See our safe trading guide and Terms of Service for more.

Frequently asked questions

What is TradeSoft Club Management?

It lets registered NZ airsoft clubs vouch for their members. TradeSoft sets a club up and invites a club manager, who then invites members. Members who accept earn a Club Verified badge on their profile and listings.

How do I get Club Verified?

Ask your club president or manager to invite you using the email on your TradeSoft account, then accept the invitation from your dashboard in the app. The badge appears once you accept.

Do I have to be in a club to use TradeSoft?

No. Club verification is optional and never required. Genuine unaffiliated traders are welcome, this only adds another layer of trust for those who want it.

Who checks members' identity?

Clubs run their own KYC and vetting on their members, so ID verification sits with the club. TradeSoft focuses its checks on the club and the people running it.

Can a club remove my verification?

Yes. Clubs can suspend or remove a member at any time, and members can remove themselves from a club whenever they choose.

Clubs already in the system

We've added the details of registered New Zealand airsoft clubs to TradeSoft, organised by region. These are the clubs set up in the system and ready to manage members.

Heads up: not every club is active yet. We've reached out to all of these clubs to help them get set up, but we haven't heard back from everyone. Being listed here doesn't mean a club is active on TradeSoft yet.

We can't add you to a club or manage a club on its behalf. If your club isn't set up yet, the fastest way to get moving is to chase your own club and ask them to get in touch with us so we can help them across.

Run one of these clubs and haven't got yours set up yet? Reach out any time at [email protected] and we'll get you started.
