TradeSoft 1.1.0 is here
Our biggest update since launch: multiple quantity listings, drafts and clones, club and event directories on mobile, price drop tracking, a rebuilt mobile navigation, and two bug fixes.
Where you can get it
Version 1.1.0 is live on the web app right now, and it has already gone out to our Android test users. The iOS build is with Apple and will land as soon as it clears App Store review.
Bug fixes
Login and home page loop (mobile only)
We found, and several of you also reported, an intermittent issue on the mobile app that could leave you stuck in a loop between the login screen and the home page. While it was happening you could not view listings or get into your account.
The workaround was to fully close the app, including from the background, then relaunch it. Where the loop came from abandoning the signup flow part way through, though, it took a delete and reinstall to clear properly.
This should now be fixed, based on our own internal testing. If you do still run into it, please let us know.
Image zoom on Android
On some Android devices you could not zoom into listing images. Double tap to zoom and pinch to zoom should both now work as normal.
New features and functionality
New mobile navigation
The mobile app navigation now includes the community area. Your account and your notifications have moved up into the app header: tap your profile picture to get to your account details, and the notifications icon for the notifications area.
Search and filtering
Browsing listings on mobile now uses an improved search and filter system. You can filter by the same range of options you get on the website, and your filters stick: leave the page, or close the app entirely and come back later, and they will still be set. The filter icon shows a clear indicator when you have filters running, and a quick reset puts you back to everything.
Multiple quantity support
You can now enable multiple quantity on a listing, which lets you sell the same item more than once, to one buyer or to several. The quantity is shown to buyers on the listing itself.
It is perfect for a bulk listing where people want to buy one or a few, for anything you plan to split up, or for something you are selling repeatedly.
When you mark the item as sold and pick the person you sold to, you choose how many went to them. That means one listing can carry feedback from several buyers, and each sale gets tracked separately in your sold tab. You can increase the quantity at any time by editing the listing, and it only fully marks as sold and clears out of your listings once the last item has gone.
Club directory and club profiles
Released on the website recently, and now live in the mobile app too. Browse clubs by region, see which other members are part of a club, what those members currently have listed, and what events the club has coming up.
Event directory and event profiles
Also recently made available on the website, and now in the mobile app. Upcoming events show on the home page and in the events area under community, and you can filter by start date, region, club and event type.
Share button
We have added a share button to listings, club profiles and event pages in the mobile app, so you can quickly send the link for any of them to wherever you want it.
Drafts
Want to start putting a listing together but you are not ready to actually sell? You can now save a listing as a draft instead of publishing it straight away. It sits in My Listings > Drafts, ready for you to publish when you are.
Picking up an abandoned listing
Tied to the above: if you start a listing on mobile and tap out into a different part of the app, going back to the Sell tab will ask whether you want to continue the listing you started or begin a new one. Handy if you left the area by accident.
Clone a listing
Sold an item and want to sell something similar? You can clone any of your active or sold listings, which creates a draft version for you to edit and get back on the market quickly.
Price drop tracking and alerts
If you reduce the price of a listing, we now track that price drop and show it on the listing. Buyers can also filter for price drop listings when they are hunting for a good deal. Anyone with the item on their watchlist gets told about it too: a push notification on mobile, and in the notifications centre on both mobile and web.
Replica power level: FPS and joules
We launched with FPS tracking for replicas being listed, and there is now a joules field alongside it. Both are optional, but if you know what power the replica you are listing is shooting at, you can record it in either unit. Not sure what the difference is? Our guide to NZ airsoft FPS limits explains how the two relate.
Accept club invites on the website
Accepting or declining a club invite used to be limited to the mobile app. That now works on the website as well. So if a club invites you as a known member and you are not on the mobile app yet, you can still accept from the notifications area or the My Clubs area of your dashboard. More on what club membership gets you in our guide to club verification.
General improvements
For everyone
- Improved general caching and loading speed across both the website and the mobile app.
For clubs and club managers
- Improved login and password reset flows.
- Increased the expiry time on invite emails.
- Changed how cancelling a recurring event works. The event date you cancel now shows as cancelled on the platform, and if you choose to cancel all future events, those events no longer show to users. If you decide to resume the event later, that date reappears and future events start showing again as well.
