Verifying your phone number
Phone verification is a quick, optional step that earns you a Phone Verified badge. It's one of the simplest ways to show the community you're a real, accountable trader.
Why verify your phone
Verifying your phone number adds a Phone Verified badge to your profile and your listings. It's purely a trust signal: no features are locked behind it, and you can use TradeSoft fully without it. But buyers and sellers are far more comfortable dealing with a verified account, so it directly helps you close deals. Your number is stored privately and is never shown to other users.
Verify from Settings
You may have skipped phone verification when you signed up. You can do it any time afterwards from your settings. Open the Phone Verification screen, enter your NZ mobile number, and tap Verify My Number.
Enter the code
We'll text you a 6-digit code. Enter it on the next screen to confirm the number is yours. If it doesn't arrive within a minute, tap Resend code (there's a short cooldown between sends) and double-check your number was entered correctly.
You're verified
Once your code is accepted, your account is phone verified and the badge appears on your profile and listings straight away. That's all there is to it.
