Leaving feedback as a seller
Feedback is what builds trust across the TradeSoft community. Here's how to rate a buyer after a sale, and how to come back and do it later if you're not ready in the moment.
When you can leave buyer feedback
You can rate a buyer once you've completed a sale to them on TradeSoft. That means the buyer has to be someone who messaged you about the listing and you've picked them when you mark the item as sold. If you close a listing as Sold off site, no buyer is recorded, so there's no one to rate.
1. Leave feedback when you mark it sold
The easiest time to leave feedback is right after you record the sale. When you mark an item as sold to a specific buyer and confirm the sale price, TradeSoft takes you straight to the Leave Feedback form for that buyer.
Not ready yet? Tap Skip for now and you can leave it later (see below). Nothing is lost.
2. Or leave it later from My Listings
If you skipped it at the time, you can still leave feedback whenever suits. Go to your Profile tab, tap My listings, then switch to the Sold tab. Find the sold listing: while a review is still pending, it shows who it sold to and a Leave feedback button. Tap that to open the same form.
3. Fill in the star rating and comment
The feedback form is short:
- Stars. Tap to give a rating from 1 to 5 stars. This is required.
- Comment. Optional. A quick line about how the deal went (easy to arrange, prompt payment, good communication) helps other sellers know what to expect.
Tap Submit feedback to finish. Keep comments fair and factual: they're public and they stick.
Where your feedback shows up
Your rating and comment appear publicly on the buyer's profile, tagged as seller feedback, and they count toward the buyer's overall star score. The buyer can post one public reply to your feedback, but they can't change or remove the rating itself.
