Leaving feedback as a buyer
Rating a seller after a deal keeps the whole community honest and helps the next buyer feel confident. Here's when to leave feedback, where to find it, and what goes in the form.
You'll get a prompt, but wait for your gear
Once a seller marks their listing as sold and picks you as the buyer, you get a notification: Leave feedback for your seller. Tapping it opens the feedback form for that deal.
You don't have to act on it straight away, and usually you shouldn't. The prompt can arrive the moment the seller closes the listing, which may be before your gear has turned up. It's best to wait until you've actually received the item and checked it matches the listing before you rate the seller. Sorting out payment and delivery first means your feedback reflects the whole experience.
Where to leave it
You can open the feedback form from two places:
- The notification. Tap the leave-feedback notification (the bell icon in the app, or the push notification). It takes you straight to the form.
- Purchased listings. Open your Profile tab and tap Purchased listings. Every item you've bought is listed here, and each one shows a Leave feedback button until you've rated the seller (after that it reads Feedback left).
Fill in the star rating and comment
The form is quick:
- Stars. Tap to give a rating from 1 to 5 stars. This is required.
- Comment. Optional. A short note on how the deal went (item as described, well packed, good communication) is genuinely useful to other buyers.
Tap Submit feedback when you're done.
Where your feedback shows up
Your rating and comment appear publicly on the seller's profile, tagged as buyer feedback, and they count toward the seller's overall star score. The seller can post one public reply to your feedback, but they can't change or remove the rating itself. So keep it fair and factual.
