Bumping a listing
As newer listings go up, yours slides down the feed. A bump lifts it straight back to the top of its category for a fresh round of views. Here's how bump credits work.
What a bump does
When you post an item it sits at the top of its category, but every new listing after it pushes yours a little further down. Spending one bump credit re-surfaces that listing at the top of its category feed, so it gets seen again without you having to relist. Featured listings still sit above the general feed, so think of a bump as getting you back to the front of the queue among the standard listings.
How to bump a listing
You can bump from Profile > My Listings. On the Active tab, each listing has a bump button in its action row showing how many credits you have. Tap it to spend one credit and send that listing back to the top. You can also bump straight from the listing's own owner actions.
Buying bump credits
Bump credits are bought in packs. Go to Profile > Bumps Credits to see your balance, then tap Add bump credits and choose a pack. Packs come in three sizes: 1 credit, 5 credits or 10 credits, and the bigger packs work out cheaper per bump. Current prices are shown in the app when you pick a pack, before you confirm. Credits land on your balance and can be used on any active listing, any time: there's no need to decide upfront which listing to spend them on.
You can review every bump you've spent under Bump history on the same screen.
Bump vs featured: which should I use?
They solve different problems:
- Featured is a promotion you choose when you create (or edit) a listing. It buys standout placement from the start.
- Bumping is something you do later, with a credit, to re-surface an active listing at the top of its category once it has drifted down the feed.
In short: feature a listing to launch it with more visibility, and bump it to keep it visible over the days that follow. Learn more about promotions in free, featured and featured max listings.
